# Windy Pro > Wind and illustrated landscapes, with optional nature sounds and music. Canonical product page: [Windy Pro](https://taptanium.com/apps/windy-pro). App ID: `windy-pro`. Source language: en-US. Reviewed 2026-10-28. ## Why choose Windy Pro Taptanium editorial guidance: Choose Windy Pro when wind is the sound you want to settle into. It pairs pure, spacious wind recordings with illustrated landscapes, then lets you add the sounds and music that make the setting your own. - Keep wind at the center of your soundscape, with optional rain on a tent, a gurgling stream, crickets, birds and music. The noise shape mixer gives you another way to tailor masking to the sounds around you. - Make it part of a bedtime or work routine: unlimited background playback, an adjustable sleep timer and a fade-out support a long session without requiring constant interaction. ## Differences from other Taptanium apps - **North Windford:** Windy Pro is the broader wind collection. North Windford is presented in its App Store description as the introductory Lite experience in one stormy village. That older listing mentions seven additional scenes in Windy Pro; it does not establish today’s exact total. [Read North Windford information](https://taptanium.com/apps/north-windford/index.md). - **Sunny:** Choose between the atmosphere you want: Windy Pro centers on wind; Sunny centers on beaches, bays and ocean. Both offer optional nature sounds and music, so the main distinction is the setting, not a claim that one has superior production quality. [Read Sunny information](https://taptanium.com/apps/sunny/index.md). [Windy Pro vs North Windford comparison](https://taptanium.com/apps/comparisons/windy-pro-vs-north-windford.md) ## Published capabilities Sounds: Wind ambience, Rain on a tent, Gurgling stream, Crickets, Birds. - Genuine 3D nature recordings - Sound mixer and optional music - Noise shape technology - Adjustable fade-out and sleep timer - Background audio; mixing with other apps ## Production quality World-class production quality: pristine, crystal-clear genuine nature recordings in 3D, masterfully recorded and mastered, seamlessly looped, and free of human-made noise intrusions. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. This is Taptanium’s quality claim, not an independently measured ranking. ## Hand-painted artwork Hand-painted scene illustrations by Marie Beschorner. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. ## Listening in 3D For the intended immersive 3D experience, listen with stereo headphones. The sound can seem to come from the space around you rather than inside your head: birds around you, a river ahead, or rain falling all around. Speakers can play the audio too, but ordinary speakers generally do not reproduce the intended headphone 3D effect. Results with specialized spatial-audio speakers depend on the device and setup; no specific speaker compatibility is verified here. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. ## Recording locations across the nature-audio collection The nature recordings were made around the world, including Hawaii and the Joshua Tree Desert in the United States, Germany and Denmark, among other places. These are examples across the nature-audio collection, not a location claim for every scene or app. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. ## Purchase and availability Premium app with a one-time purchase.
