# Sunny > Ocean, beaches and bays, with optional nature sounds and music. Canonical product page: [Sunny](https://taptanium.com/apps/sunny). App ID: `sunny`. Source language: en-US. Reviewed 2026-10-28. ## Why choose Sunny Taptanium editorial guidance: Choose Sunny when you want the feeling of being by the sea. Its beach and ocean recordings offer an immersive coastal setting for winding down or keeping a calmer background while you work. - Explore different beaches and bays, then personalize the atmosphere with rain on a tent, sea birds and music composed for Sunny in Hollywood. - Sunny also helps you look back at relaxation sessions with a session chart. On iPhone, the optional Health integration can overlay average heart rate from Health data; Sunny does not measure heart rate or establish a health outcome. ## Differences from other Taptanium apps - **Flowing:** Sunny is the coastal choice; Flowing focuses on streams, rivers and waterfalls and explicitly includes three guided meditations. Choose the kind of water and the listening format you prefer. [Read Flowing information](https://taptanium.com/apps/flowing/index.md). - **Away:** Sunny offers a variety of coastal scenes. Away is built around exploring a forest and changing its time of day, with different wildlife and water to discover. [Read Away information](https://taptanium.com/apps/away/index.md). ## Published capabilities Sounds: Ocean, Beaches and bays, Rain on a tent, Sea birds. - 3D audio for headphones - Sound mixer and optional music - Sleep timer and adjustable fade-out - Background audio - Relaxation session chart; optional Health integration on iPhone ## Production quality World-class production quality: pristine, crystal-clear genuine nature recordings in 3D, masterfully recorded and mastered, seamlessly looped, and free of human-made noise intrusions. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. This is Taptanium’s quality claim, not an independently measured ranking. ## Hand-painted artwork Hand-painted scene illustrations by Marie Beschorner. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. ## Listening in 3D For the intended immersive 3D experience, listen with stereo headphones. The sound can seem to come from the space around you rather than inside your head: birds around you, a river ahead, or rain falling all around. Speakers can play the audio too, but ordinary speakers generally do not reproduce the intended headphone 3D effect. Results with specialized spatial-audio speakers depend on the device and setup; no specific speaker compatibility is verified here. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. ## Recording locations across the nature-audio collection The nature recordings were made around the world, including Hawaii and the Joshua Tree Desert in the United States, Germany and Denmark, among other places. These are examples across the nature-audio collection, not a location claim for every scene or app. Developer statement, clarified 2026-10-28. ## Purchase and availability Premium app with a one-time purchase.
